NASA is preparing Space Shuttle Endeavour for a 4:39am EST launch, “14 hours before the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints kick off Super Bowl 44 in South Florida.” This mission, first of the final five planned, will be used to deliver the earth observation deck to the ISS.

The predawn shuttle launch is also expected to be the last ever to blast off in darkness. At liftoff, Endeavour’s twin solid rocket boosters will light up the night sky, Zamka said. That’s the first thing Florida skywatchers will see.
