WinMo 6.1 runs fine on the phone. It’s not blazing, but it hardly lags. The hardware itself looks beautiful , and I’ve always been a sucker for squarish, slider phones.

Google aims for energy efficiency with their web servers, that’s why “everything has been planned for optimum power use, from the 1AAA shipping containers (sporting over a thousand servers each) that make up the core of its operations, to the servers themselves.” Video after the break.

Before GMail, Google Docs, and even the first version of Google, there was Google Classic. Unsurprisingly, these hand-delivered search results take approximately 30-days to reach you.

This has a decidedly ’40s-’50s aesthetic, but still it would have been considered an incredible service to fill out a post card with a research query and in a month or so, receive a packet of sourced information from around the world on your topic, for free.

Squeez Bacon from ThinkGeek “requires no preservatives or other additives; each serving is as healthy as real bacon, and equivalent to 4 premium slices of bacon.” Video after the break.

You can put it on sandwiches, pizza, pastas, bacon, soups, pies, eat it hot or cold, substitute it for bacon in your recipes, or even eat it right out of the tube like we do! If it’s edible, it’s better with Squeez Bacon.
