It’s official, Microsoft has discontinued their Kin phone lineup due to poor sales. Microsoft says that they are integrating the “KIN team with the Windows Phone 7 team, incorporating valuable ideas and technologies from KIN into future Windows Phone releases.” For those who have no idea what Kin is, continue reading for a hands-on video. We’re learning this afternoon that Microsoft’s Kin line, for all practical purposes, is riding off into the sunset just a few short weeks after its release.

Kudo Tsunoda — the Microsoft Kinect creative director — made an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to demonstrate just how far the system has come since its prototype days. He teams up with Miranda Cosgrove for some rafting and challenges Jimmy Fallon to hurdles. Video after the break.

The Microsoft Kinect, previously known as Project Natal, is now official. During the pre-E3 Microsoft press conference last night, there were several demos shown, “ranging from Star Wars to tiger petting, the Kinect interface to the Dashboard.” Video after the break. Naturally a holiday release is expected, to give the Xbox 360 a nice sales boost, but we’re hearing price rumors as high as $150.

According to Microsoft, the Bing Cashback Program will be discontinued, effective July 30th, 2010. However, “you can redeem all of your earned cashback savings consistent with the cashback terms and conditions and access the Bing cashback customer support system through July 30, 2011.” Continue reading to see a video on how to take advantage of the program’s last days.

Bill Gates appeared on Larry King Live yesterday and talked about his friend Steve Jobs, the iPad, and even Facebook. You’ll be glad to know that Bill and Steve “enjoy sparring with each other.” Video after the break.

My favorite bit is from his father, William Henry Gates, Sr., however. On Facebook and Twitter: “I’m really embarrassed. I’m just not into that.”
