Archival footage specialist NASS used artificial intelligence to upscale and colorize several scenes of New York City from the 1930s and 1940s. We get a glimpse of downtown and the exit of a train station with many people living their daily lives, wearing clothing that you typically don’t see today.
EarthCam has just released the longest running time-lapse project in the company’s history spanning 20 years. Company CEO and Founder, Brian Cury, installed a webcam just days after the attacks to broadcast the rescue mission to the families of the missing and eventually into the rebuilding process. EarthCam developed innovative new robotic DSLR camera technology necessary to document this in the highest resolution possible. You’ll soon be able to first the first ever Google retail store in Chelsea, New York where visits will be able to get some hand-on time with Pixel phones, Nest products, Fitbit devices, Pixelbooks and more. Orders placed online at GoogleStore can also be picked up at this physical location.
