Artificial intelligence can be found in robotics, computers, and now, in videos. You read that right, Buzzfeed partnered with Jordan Peele to create a video showing how AI can use celebrities to deliver fake news, and quite convincingly. The team used Adobe After Effects and the AI face-swapping tool FakeApp for most of the effects you see above. New iPhone X (PRODUCT)RED Video Surfaces, Includes iPhone X Plus

Apple officially launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED phones earlier this week, but now, Concept Creator shows us what their “X” counterparts could look like. Simply put, they feature a red glass back and red stainless steel edges, while the front of the device is black. The iPhone X Plus is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch OLED display, and possibly an upgraded camera. Video Shows What Happens When You Fly a Drone Up to 33,000-Feet

Yes, cameras-equipped weather balloons regularly capture footage from extremely high altitudes, but one man from Russia decided to do the same, but with a drone. He managed to get a 2.34-pound hobbyist drone all the way up to 33,000-feet, and for 25-minutes to boot. Thankfully, Russia has not regulated a maximum height for drone operators, as the footage you see was shot near the central town of Strezhevoy. We will most likely never know, but this time-lapse does attempt to show the very beginning of our universe to present day. “On a cosmic time scale, human history is as brief as the blink of an eye. By compressing all 13.8 billion years of time into a 10 minute scale, this video shows just how young we truly are, and just how ancient and vast our universe us. Starting with the big bang and culminating in the appearance of homo sapiens, this experience follows the unfolding of time at 22 million years per second, adhering closely to current scientific understanding,” according to the video’s creator. Disney’s Star Wars Land Opens Next Year, This Aerial Drone Video Gives You an Early Look

Disney’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge theme park land in Disneyland is well under construction, and the first video of its progress has surfaced. Set to open sometime in 2019, this ultra themed area is going to look like a planet called Batuu, an Outer Rim planet that has yet to be shown in any films, complete with attractions that tie into the storylines of all 10 movies, possibly with a life-sized Millennium Falcon yet. Scientist Drops Ice Down 90-Meter Glacier Borehole. The Sound it Makes? Something Straight from a Cartoon

Dr. Peter Neff, along with a few other scientists, decided to do an experiment and drop a small piece of ice 90-meters down a borehole on Taylor Glacier, an Antarctic glacier about 54-kilometers long, flowing from the plateau of Victoria Land into the western end of Taylor Valley, north of the Kukri Hills, to see what would happen. In a recently posted video, he showcases an app that basically turns a user’s face into the background. What could this be used for? This Video is 2D and 3D Simultaneously Due to the Pulfrich Effect

Tom Scott has created a video that works in both 2D and in 3D simultaneously. To view the 3D effect, wear or hold a sunglasses lens over your right eye, and it works best on a larger display with the video playing at a high frame rate. Unlike other 3D videos, this one doesn’t look strange when you’re not wearing glasses, thanks to the Pulfrich Effect. How does it work? Basically, when you wear sunglasses over one eye, the image on the screen is perceived by that eye slightly more slowly, and since the camera is constantly moving, it’s as if you’re getting a slightly delayed image to the eye with the lens over it.
