Thanks to the TrueDepth cameras, Apple’s iPhone X now offers excellent face-tracking capabilities, and Kazuya Noshiro, an app developer from Japan decided to take things to the next level. In a recently posted video, he showcases an app that basically turns a user’s face into the background. What could this be used for? “The effect is like a creepy, see-through beauty mask – similar to Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak. According to Noshiro’s tweets, the app was made on game development platform Unity, and uses a fixed camera position to shoot a background in order to create the illusion,” reports The Verge.
