WoW Unreal Engine 4
World of Warcraft fan Daniel L spent the past few years recreating some of the game’s environments in Unreal Engine 4, and recently he released a compilation video showing off the best of his work dating all the way back to 2015. You’ll catch glimpses of Grizzly Hills, Elwynn Forest, Duskwood, Westfall and Durotar. On a related note, did you know that WoW has grossed over $9.23 billion in revenue, making it one of the highest-grossing video game franchises of all time, as of 2017? Lich King Statue

Blizzard Entertainment unveiled a 14-foot-tall, 4,000-pound bronze sculpture of World of Warcraft villain Lich King Arthas Menethil in Taichung, Taiwan this week to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Created by Taiwanese designer Steve Wang, the giant sculpture took over 30-people approximately 9-months to complete. Continue reading for an incredible “making of” video and more information.

WarCraft Mall China

Blizzard and Legendary Pictures has just installed massive “Warcraft” exhibit at Joycity mall in Chengdu, China. Vistors can get up-close with props, costumes and life-sized replicas of the characters from the upcoming film The free tour also offers an interactive virtual reality ride where visitors can experience what it’s like to fly while riding a legendary Gryphon as it soars over the skies of Azeroth. World of Warcraft Westfall

Gamer Daniel L. has recreated World of Warcraft’s Westfall, the abandoned agricultural center and low level zone of the Alliance that borders the Elwynn Forest, with Unreal Engine 4. In the early build video, you’ll enter Westfall from the Elwynn Forest. “I wonder if we’ll see this zone in the upcoming movie. Based on what we’ve seen so far, its aesthetics would be similar to this,” says Kotaku’s Gergo Vos. Continue reading for the video, plus a bonus clip.

Tier 13 Warrior Armor Cosplay

We know that a Warcraft movie is set for release on June 10, 2016, but there are fans creating costumes worthy of the film long before its release, like this Tier 13 Warrior Armor by Yuki General. No detail was spared on the Colossal Dragonplate Armor, including the weapon (T17 blackhand). According to Hakkenkrak on Reddit, “The armour is made out of EVA foam (floor mat foam), and painted with acrylics. She does all of her own costumes, and crossplays a lot of anime characters. She has phenomenal talent and no, doesn’t get paid to stand there and look pretty.” Continue reading for one more picture.

Believe it or not, a man in China actually hired virtual “assassins” to hunt down his son in online video games and kill off his avatar. Mr. Feng was concerned about the amount of time his 23-year-old unemployed son was spending online, so he hoped his actions would deter his son from playing the games.
