You’ve seen triangle wheels and square wheels, now check out Sergii Gordieiev’s, better known as The Q, latest creation: yellow slipper bicycle wheels. This required fabricating paddle-like metal places to securely hold the slippers in place before they could be mounted to a wheel hub.
Once those steps were completed, the slippers were attached to the hub and then surprisingly smooth riding ensued in what appears to be a local park. For those who prefer standard bicycle wheels, building your own isn’t out of the question. However, it does still require you to attach the rim to the hub using spokes and nipples as fasteners. The entire structure then needs to be brought up to proper tension, which may need some specialized tools to do so.
