That's right, a 10MB hard disk for only $3,495 back in 1980 -- and it's refurbished to boot. A brand new unit would have cost you $4,495. If adjusted to 2005 dollars, that's $11,415.77 (new)/$8876.11 (refurbished). View the full-sized advertisement here.
And this isn’t one of your 3.5″, half-height 5 1/4″ or even full-height 5 1/4″ hard drives either. No; it’s a hulking, old-school, non-Winchester jobbie that takes interchangeable disk cartridges
(Bjorn - please check "refurbished")

You can still pay $3k for an old school disk drive! They are still used for machines whose spefications were made in the 80's and haven't changed even to this day. There is quite a market for "Legacy" devices especially old skool hard drives.

Why not give credit to the site you ripped this story from? I'm sure Vintage Computing & Gaming would appreciate the recognition they deserve seeing as they ran the story a full week before you did.
22
Yeah, delete my post rather than giving credit where credit is due. I can wait until someone rips content from your site and you start wailing about it. Do the right thing.
23
check my site out it has a bunch of these pics

I want to post a retraction to my earlier comments (for those that saw them) that said TechEBlog didn't give credit to Vintage Computing & Gaming for this story. I didn't notice that they had and I jumped to conclusions. I was wrong and out of line and for that I want to apologize the author of this story and this site in general.
