Belkin's Skype Phone

Make Skype calls without having to lug around your computer using Belkin's new Wi-Fi Phone for Skype -- it goes on sale August 2006.
The Wi-Fi Phone, which will retail for $190 and looks much like a traditional cellular mobile phone, will be able to connect to various Wi-Fi hotspots around the world, letting you access your Skype account while enjoying an overpriced latte at Starbucks

Looks like it'll be almost 50% than the very similar Netgear Skype Wi-Fi phone. Which is already a good sign! http://www.netgear.com/products/details/SPH101.php

I cannot understand why they (Netgear or Belkin) don't include a simple enough web browser to make the phone usable where a login is required to get access.

A truly incredible gadget! The again, I have not even tested it yet. Maybe I just like it because it black and sleek. I believe a simple opera mobile browser would seriously enhance this phone. More importantly, being able to add Wifi tools to the software would be incredible as well, but I am sure as soon as the better hackers out there get a hold of this they will rip its guts apart for the betterment of humanity.
