Crazy Case Mods Part 2

We bring to you the second installment of our "Crazy Case Mods" series. Which ones are your favorites? My vote goes out to the Skunkworks F-117A. [ShoutIt]

Skunkworks F-117A PC

This amazing computer was designed for playing flight simulators and as a gaming console. It features three 17-inch LCD monitors, an AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 processor, 1GB(512MBx2) of DDR PC-3200 memory, dual nVidia NX6800-TD256 graphics modules in SLI configuration, and a WD Raptor 74GB 10,000 RPM SATA hard drive. [TheBestCaseScenario]

Mini Oven Case Mod

Finally, a broken mini oven put to good use. A broken oven was fully gutted and fit with computer parts. Neon lighting was added for a "heat effect". [SnapStream]

Philco Predicta

Inspired by the classic Philco Predicta television set, this retro-styled computer boasts an Intel P4 2.8GHz CPU, 1GB of DDR RAM, and a custom-built LCD case. [onomy.com]

Toaster PC

Stuffed inside this $30 GE Classic 4-Slice Toaster is a fully functional computer, complete with DVD drive and VIA EPIA M9000 motherboard. [pm]

Darth Vader Helmet Case Mod

When is a Darth Vader helmet not just a Darth Vader helmet? When you stuff a working PC inside of it. One potential negative, there's not much room for expansion. [BurnoutPC]

BBQ PC

What better way to cook your PC than inside a custom-built BBQ case mod? Unfortunately, the owner had part out his creation. [envador]

Rodent PC

A student at North Carolina State University modded his PC case "with 18 in. of PVC pipe, wood chips and a water bottle for his pet, L'il Buddy." [pm]

The Matrix: Regenerator

At first glance, this creation looks like a prop straight from the movie, but in reality, it's just a crazy case. This masterpiece features an Intel P4 3.2 GHz processor, 1GB of Corsair CMX512 3200LL memory, a Crucial Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB graphics card, and three 160GB Seagate Barracuda SATA hard drives. 2

[...] This is a PC with a built-in rodent play zone, so its owner could spend quality time with his pet while gaming. Taken from a round-up post at TechEBlog. [...]

Now if only the hamster had a wheel to run on for power...
5
Hamster ones great.. tests effects of radiation^^
6
wouldnt that pc with the mouse, cook the mouse?
7
I really like the rodent case, cause you can spend time with your (smaller) pets, while you look up how to cure rabies..
8
Hamster one looks a bit dodgy. The water bottle is right above the PSU....
9
yummy, cooked hamster.
10
Too bad they'll all be obsolete in 3 months...

And all the specs are....crap. A FX-55...wow! old! Not even a 7 series. It's what I say about cars, the body kit may look nice, but you're only running 115HP. Case solved.
12
now now mateo, dont say that. Not everyone has enough money to spend on the latest and greatest things... With the way computer parts depreciate, they probably had the latest, a couple of months ago. And about "the body kit may look nice, but you’re only running 115HP.", what these people have is original, much like a painting is. now how many thousands of people own a fx 7 series whatever piece of crap?

Mateo, stfu. Dont you even understand the point of this? Its not for the latest performance PCs, go look elsewhere if you want that. The title CLEARLY says cases, not cases and internal components. Damn I hate when people just post to complain about something. I like the Wolfenstein and toaster cases the best. Eh, hamster one looks dangerous... live rodents and water inside a computer could lead to disaster very quickly. Would be cool to see this topic except with crazy laptop cases.

Even though the GE toaster looks like a pretty tight squeeze(not much room for a PC) and must have been a bitch to fit. The Philco Predicta is pretty damned 50's looking especially the monitor. Quite genuine looking if I do say so myself. Good work people!
15
Wow some great and creative minds on the case work...and mateo stfu about parts..not everyone has uber com parts and money. Its all about design

A student at North Carolina State University modded his PC case “with 18 in. of PVC pipe, wood chips and a water bottle for his pet, L’il Buddy.” I take it that this L'il Buddy is a cordless mouse. Wonder if he can control the computer and what he spends his time looking at. (Cat traps may be?)
