Crysis Minimum Specs Revealed

Yes, you'll definitely need one powerful machine to run Crysis. Recommended requirements after the jump. Here are the minimum requirements:
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8GHz; Graphics: NVIDIA 6600/X800GTO (SM 2.0); RAM: 768MB/1GB; HDD: 6GB; Internet: 256k+; Optical Drive: DVD; Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

oke this is insane even the minimum specs are high. and the the Recommended specs are even higher so lets say if you need the fastest Dell XPS to play this game. i sepose that they also like you to have a Crossfire or SLI setup. well ill wait for the paxfile CPU from intel(quadCore Conroe) and the new DX10 cards from nvidia cause this is just bizar and even more than extreem.

Oh well, it's about time with a PC upgrade anyway... Might as well make sure it's a good upgrade ;)

Dell XPS ?? You were kidding, wern't you ?? Hopefully, you don't actually believe the XPS to be a "real" gaming rig do you ??

@ChillyCat: well Is every one a tweaker or Geek NO so for the most of the world the XPS700 is realy fast and not even a machine that they can buy ofcourse every one at Techeblog.com uses a custom builth PC or Apple Or both ;)

So glad i didnt upgrade computer last month, gonna hold out abit longer. I hear AMD will be lowering ther prices by 50% after the Intel Duo comes out, its gonna be a good time to upgrade serious hardware.

Yeah. XPS sucks. I scrape those- AMD X2 4200+ (probably have to overclock to 2.4 GHz) Geforce 6600 2 GB RAM. I should be set on the CPU and RAM, but it is time for a video card upgrade for me. I was planning on an ATI X1800

2006 is a really good year for ATI cards. I love my x1900 512mb card. Its alot better then the 7900 512mb card. Nvidia can make some good cards, but ATI seems to have more Solid card when it comes to raw power.

@Mark: last news i heard from Crytek was some where december if all goes wel if not than probely some where near Feb or march. and i think it would rather be March (cause of DX10 GPU's and windows Vista. btw the computer i have at work is a XPS700 whit SLI 7800GTX runs 9900 3Dmark06 so... its not slow. just to mutch for a Consumer to spend on a PC.

okayy crytek just said that crysis mite be headin to the x360 / ps3 so ye it says u need CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D) Graphics: Nvidia 7800GTX/ATI X1800XT (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent RAM: 1.5GB - lets compare that to the xbox 360 CPU Multi Core each 3.2GHZ ATI Custom 3.0 (SM + Card is more powerfull than the ATI X1900XTX Card and it has 512MB OF GDDR3 RAM

I just forked out NZ$1500 for some guts for my machine, and I got: 1000w power supply Asus nforce570 SLI Ultra motherboard Inno3D 8800 GTS 320MB 2x 1GB Corsair 800FSB 5-5-5 Dual Channel AMD Athlon 64-bit 6000+ SATA DVD writer I just preorderd crysis a couple of days ago and also booked ut3 as well.
