Overview

Rather than use hydraulic or pneumatic actuator motors, the BOSE Active Suspension System features electromagnetic linear electric motors. Put simply, these electromagnetic motors raise or lower the vehicle depending on the situation -- speed bumps, potholes, etc. The company spent over $100-million developing this technology and expects it to be available in high-end luxury vehicles by 2009.

LOL, That'd be a pretty awesome acronym, But they'd probably catch on to that, and call it BASS "Bose Active Suspension System"
