Overview
If you've always wanted a flying boat, but didn't quite have the funds, BRio should do the trick. At $10000, this build it yourself kit has all that you need to build a craft that's capable of cruising at 44mph, with a 100-plus mile range. If the engine fails, the wing easily detaches allowing for a safe landing via hang glider.
