Feature: Oscilloscopes Hacked to Run Tetris, Star Wars Arcade

Sure, oscilloscopes are great for displaying electric signals, but they can also be used to run games like Tetris and Star Wars Arcade. Continue reading to see more.

Tetris

Created by engineer Lars Pontoppidan, this hack basically utilizes the AtMega32 micro-controller to recreate the classic Tetris game on an oscilloscope -- controlled with an Atari digital joystick.


Star Wars

Unlike the hack above, this person managed to turn an oscilloscope into a functional MAME machine, running Star Wars Arcade to prove its stability. Hopefully, multiplayer support will be added in the next version.
