This is not some weird art installation, but rather a “human-electric hybrid vehicle” (HEH). GinzVelo utilizes a 500W electric engine to increase your pedaling power to over 30 miles per hour, and is good for 100 miles on a single charge. “The electric-powered cycle uses a 500 W hub motor and a 20 Ah LiPo battery to achieve a range of 75 to 100 miles at up to 20 mph on a single charge – and that’s without any human pedal power. If you pedal too, you can travel even farther,” according to Inhabitat.
