The first live image of Google/Samsung's upcoming "Switch" phone has surfaced. This keypad-less device will sport a large touchscreen display and built-in GPS functionality.
What's pictured in that all too familiar blur is the phone's contact program said to be an extended version of Gtalk combining Gmail, text and instant messaging. According to our tipster, the device doesn't have any on-board storage. That's right, all your applications are served up over the network with new apps "attached" to your account via a web interface

This is simply a pic of a DVD case with an insert made to look like a contact list.

Nothing like the iPhone - unless you mean a large touchscreen, in that case I can name three phones before the Apple offering that had that. I'm fed up Engadget and TechEBlog and their Apple sycophancy. Jobs tries to rewrite the history of consumer electronics and they both follow without thinking "er, hang on a minute!".

Considering how google is working with Apple to create the iPhone I believe that this is either a fake or it will jsut be an internet device. There is no news of this on google nor in google developer forums so it's probably a fake.

Google will start making hardware, yeah why not.. That Google is on the iPhone, doesn't prevent them from being on dozens of smartphones that are already on the Market, and on dozens other that are going to be released quite soon, including, why not, their own hardware.
