GPS Coin

Called the Inbi-Out, this coin-sized GPS unit "tosses a 50/50 chance of where you should go, and displays the final decision on a tiny embedded screen complete with GPS coordinates and directions." Click here for first picture in gallery.

It'll also record every destination you go to into some magical databank for future reference (or dystopian spying). Too soon?

I don't get things like this. It's just someone's fantasy of a GPS receiver. How about my design concept- picture an egg with no visible markings- it looks like, you guessed it, an egg! It's a cell phone (GSM & CDMA), GPS receiver with holographic display, music player with 5 TB of storage, blue-tooth, USB 5.0, a 32 MP digital camera, an HDTV video camera, an espresso maker, and it plays Halo 12. Now do I get my own entry in the TechEBlog? These fantasy things are just silly and there's way too many of them posted here. Oh, I know, it's all about "Design". BFD! It's like those ridiculous LaCie external HDDs that are "Designed" by Porsche. They are just a rectangular box. There's no "Design" there. If that's all it takes to do "Design" I'm going to start a new career. The whole world is going to hell. You see it everywhere. Turn on the TV and there's Heroes where people just suddenly have magical powers. Jeez, what 6th grade kid did they pay to think that up? I'm sorry, but a ridiculous concept of a GPS coin or a TV show like Heroes, or a HDD in a rectangular box are just too easy. There's no cleverness, no effort, no meaning. It's all just trash. Show me real stuff that people are actually doing, not some photoshopped fantasy nonsense that will never see light of day beyond a photo on techEBlog.
