Intelligent Speed Bump Retracts For Cautious Drivers

Dubbed the Intelligent Bump, this clever system by Mexico-based Decano Industries actually retracts if you're "going slow enough", rewarding cautious drivers. These bumps are priced at an affordable $1,500 each. Continue reading for an animation.

The system uses metal plates that measure the force of an impact against them. Cars going slow enough will cause the plates to lower, though any faster and the speed bump will remain where it is.

O yeh we had such a speedbump in the netherlands as well. works great.... to kill motorcyclist. motor drives 70Km/h where 50 is the limit (note that speeding in the netherlands is almost normal and still we have the lowest dead's in the traffic) and the speedbump goes up and motorcyclist get launched into the air. and you have new Donor patient... iam not a fan of this speed bumps they are dangerous.

well that video sucked... its a good idea in theory, but meh
