CrunchGear recently got their hands on the not yet released Pepper Pad 3. Like its predecessor, you can surf the web, stream music/videos/photos, make phone calls (VOIP), and do just about anything else a computer is capable of. This time around, it features an AMD Geode LX 800 0.9-watt processor, a built-in webcam, and 802.11g Wi-Fi. Short video after the jump.

When I discovered Pepper Pad was re-introducing the PP3 and had scheduled it for release in September, I decided to do a little research on the company. I discovered, no secret of course, that Pepper Pad and Hanbit Electronics, Inc. in Korea were in joint partnership for the development of the PP3. Since I live in Korea, I contacted Hanbit to see it they had an outlet for the PP3 in the Korean market. They do not; their marketing agent told me Hanbit did not feel the PP3 with the Linux 2.6 kernel would make an impact on the home audience - the US is the targeting market, however, not without some trepidation on Hanbit Developers for the same reasons stated above.
After several conversations with their marketing director, I was able to purchase a PP3. The PP3 does come in three colors (pink, white, and black) I chose the black edition. However, Hanbit is behind on shipping and the PP3 has met a few delays. My PP3 should be in my hands early this week.
The PP3 does promise to be an excellent device for true mobile processing.
