Pioneer PDP-5000EX 50" Full HD Plasma

Pioneer introduces the "world’s first 50-inch 1080p plasma display". The PDP-5000EX supports 720p/1080i/1080p HD and boasts 1920 x 1080 resolution. Its "PUREBLACK Crystal Layer" and "PURE Drive 2 HD Signal Processing" provide enhanced picture quality. Expect a June 2006 release, pricing has not yet been confirmed.
"The PDP-5000EX combines its higher pixel count with a faster refresh rate (of 720p), allowing for improved HD image detail, colour accuracy and fast moving image clarity in a 50-inch plasma display."
