Ok, so the F700's screen isn't multi-touch or 3.5-inches, but it does have a full QWERTY keypad and 5.0-megapixel camera. That's not all, you'll also find EDGE, HSDPA, Bluetooth, VibeTonz, and a microSD card slot. Samsung even loaded the phone with its own custom OS. More pictures after the jump. [via NewLaunches]

Although I completely agree with Jobs when he says that solid buttons only hinder the software.... That is one beautiful phone

Samsung's answer to the Apple iPhone: Samsung’s iPhone Killer: F700 Ok, so the F700’s screen isn’t multi-touch or 3.5-inches, but it does have a full QWERTY keypad and 5.0-megapixel camera. 7
i want it so badly T_T

Is that is? Now every phone with a touch screen will be called an "iphone clone"... what about my smartphones I got 3 years ago that looks almost the same and works pretty much the same? Please don't make everyone think all thouchscreen phones are iPhone, please stop the lies. Most poeple think Apple invented the mp3 players because of such lies.

behold how easy it is to own the IPhone outside the US^^ peanuts

Wow. I wish I had one.

I thought the whole point of a smart phone was too have cool apps etc. I think this phone would be far better on an MS OS for the apps and home brew programs. Looks sweet, but this isn't doing anything new, apart from maybe the camera, and the iPhone, what exactly is it doing new? O right, you turn it to the side and the screen turns too, OMGZ how cool!! *rolls eyes*

samsung... the GUI is probably sluggish to hell, camera super slow, thought the screen would be excellent no thanks

I'm stoked about this competition. It'll drive Apple's prices down while at the same time other companies are rushing to produce something that could quite possibly be better than the iphone. and a 5mp camera is pretty damn good!

"solid buttons only hinder the software"??? Please tell me no one said that. That is probably one of the stupidest comments in recorded history when talking about a phone. Everyone to some degree even when not aware of it uses their phone by touch without looking. I would go as far as saying once people get used to their phone they use it by touch 80-90% of the time. Touchscreens for phones while cute are just wrong. To the phone industry please do not go this direction. Jobs is wrong, people do not hate their phones...yet.

I think this device has got the right idea. Don't get me wrong, I think the iPhone is neat but I agree touch screen is messy. Just think about how greasy your phone screen gets from your ear and now add your grubby fingers to the mix. sure there are bluetooth earpeaces but not everyone is going to have them. Anyone that has an ipod or other shiny surfaced mp3 player should be able to see this.

This is an iPhone killer as much as Samsung's mp3 players were touted as iPod killers. In other words, not even close. I had a Samsung phone and it was one of the worst pieces of software engineering I've experienced. Apple and Nokia slay imitators like Samsung in UI engineering and OS and are simply years ahead. The f700 doesn't even have Multi-touch or an accelerometer and and the slide out keypad has been done by Nokia and Co. It seems the big boys best efforts are getting old school fast. Samdung is so yesterday. Yawn.

Any demo from Samsung? Until I see something functional, it's all speculation. At least iPhone has some usage demo that raised expectations. I certainly would like to see the same type of demo from everyone else.
