Sony is full of anus creation. Go for the 399 premium and you have everything you need. You don't have to pay for the 20gb hdd, you get a wireless controller, so cut off the 50 bucks there. xbox live silver is free, cut off the 12 month gold membership, or just get a one month, or a 6 month, so cut off half at least. And WTF is with the hd dvd drive? When did that become required, as stated in the blog. Sony finds everything they can to cram the price up to make it look like a good deal. Sorry Sony, but your cappy schemes don't work on people with common sense. Nice try though. And isn't that your worst package. Isn't there some kind of premium package that runs like 599 or something? This cheap one doesn't have HDMI which you can't even upgrade to later, you have to go out and buy a 599 version to get HDMI later, which according to this list would be "required". And the memory card reader you don't get with the cheap version which would be "required". Need to go buy a whole new ps3 for that also. So jack your price up to $1098 to get all the "required" aspects of the ps3.

harhar you don't even knoew what you are talking about the 499 version does have hdmi, looks like someone needs to do their own research and get hte facts straight. Second of all Sony is not saying you must get those things, they are saying if you got the same things for your 360 it would cost that muuch. Dunno why people always go to the bad, and look beyond their bias.

What this chart tells you is how to get three different consoles with the same funcionality as the first (the PS3). So to get an Xbox 360 that matches the straight out of the box base PS3, you have to spend more. MUCH MORE. And you CANNOT get a Wii that matches that base PS3. Now, given you lot are deliberately and arbitrarily acting dumb-stupid simply in order to criticise a company that has given gamers so much over the last ten years, just who are the pathetic and disingenuous ones here?
