Twin-Turbo BMW 335i Coupe

BMW has unveiled their new 335i coupe, which boasts a twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine that produces an impressive 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque -- also available is a naturally aspirated six-cylinder model (325i - 218 hp and 184 ft-lbs. of torque). It goes from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds and features BMW's Intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system along with super bright Xenon Adaptive headlights. More pics after the jump.
The new BMW 3 Series Coupe will arrive in the U.S. with a choice of two six-cylinder engines including the world's first inline six with twin turbos, high precision fuel injection, and an all-aluminum crankcase.

I think the new look and the new engine is amazing. Certainly adds some sleek, power and style to the already gorgeous BMW 3series.

Yeah I'm so glad BMW have changed their final design from the 90s one. That was ok for a while, but it looked extremely ugly after a while.

The potential of the new engine w/ the turbo is going to be fun! I cannot wait to see what the tuners will come up with... and imagine the next gen M3!!

Wow 300 hp from a inline 6 twin turbo..... to bad mitsubishi, subaru, and dodge can do the same thing with a 4 banger and a single turbo.

yea, good call cammie.... too bad BMW produces the most advanced and most refined engines available today. it's not always about the numbers buddy. I've driven STi's and Lancers... I've driven BMWs.... I'd take a current stripped 325ci over either of those pieces of crap any day.

Iam selling my brand new Rx8, so i can reserve a 335ci. Iam in love with the body and honestly the power out put is just so nice finally a turbo BMW, we are in heaven.

Seems underpowered. My 1995 E36 M3 pushes out 286bhp standard and is an 11 year old normally aspirated 3 litre. I suppose that they don't want to steal potential clients from the new M3 but this seems a bit of a waste of time.

For those of you who compare the 335 with the older 3 series - it has probably twice the amount of torque that your s*** produces. Ans to those who compare it to a subaru and Mitsu.. the 335 can probably be tuned to near 750bhp.. unlike yours. If u have a skyline gtr then ure in busines buddy!

I love Audis but I must admit that BMW is again one step ahead in terms of engine technology! The 335i Coupe supposedly combines the joys of the in-line six suppleness with the surge of extra power coming from turbos when needed. In other words, the best of both worlds. I can't wait until I drive this gem.

I don't think you'll be blowing STI's off the road. Maybe you'll finally be able to catch up..but as you enter the turn.. dont forget to slow down... Hope you have upgraded brakes.. As for the comment about the 335 being tuned up to 740bhp?? I'm sure it could... just some minor upgrades right? maybe include race gas in there.. now.. M class, thats a performance class you can compare..
