(Video) Custom-Built Electric Motorcycle

"Jmrfife" took a "Derbi GPR-50, removed the gas motor, and installed an electric drive system." Video demonstration after the jump.
In case you are interested in building one, most of the key parts were purchased from thunderstruck-ev.com and electricmotorsport.com. Todd Kollin at electricmotorsport.com sells a whole range of electric motorcycles, including a Derbi GPR conversion

Just wanted to say "NICE JOB" on the craftsmanship. We want to build a bike like this using our components as a demo bike. We build marine motors, but something like this with our name on it running around the marina and at boat shows would be great exposure! Who knows, maybe it's time to branch out into a new product!
