Video Dashboard Prototype

What the? why would i want to spend a bucketload to get my car into a position where there is absolutely no way i could fix it if something goes wrong. Give me old school manual pneumatics and pulleys to get my visuals of the engine going. mind you the compas could prove handy for self orientation after a brief excursion to the back seat with 4 and a 1/2 cheerleaders, i assume you could plug a camera into the dash for recording purposes? Will it fit in my boot? it looks quite bulky. I will then need to rent a small child to ride in the boot and call my speed out to me. Very legal im sure...

This obviously isn't a finished product like the digg preamble suggests... this is a simple project to show that the guy can get some technology to work. The background shows this is a school lab of some sort, and not one for graphic designers or usability experts. which is apparant from the hippie's screen layout skills.
