Its better if you buy a computer separately! Buy a Computer and then a PS3 and if you dont have enough money BUY A WII!!!

Even if buying a PS3 would be less expensive than a mid-range computer but yet would still have the capabilities and features of a computer twice its price? People complaining about its price have never said a peep about the price of computer components. Some don't flinch dropping $700-$1000 on just a processor, but would then write a furious nerd-blog on the price of the PS3. I think this is really cool! I wonder if there is anyone down the road that will mod a Linux distro to take advantage of the PS3 hardware... a mini super computer in every home.

Simply put...Nathan T brings up a good point, specifically the actual production costs of a PS3 with respect to its components!

Exactly! finally some1 says something that i have all along. People are like "600$ is soo much money" as they sit there on the forums on their $2500 computer. Good technology doesnt come cheap, its 2006, we should have figured that out by now.
