(Video) PlayStation 3 Smashed

The guys over at SmashMyPS3 did just that after receiving $675 in donations. Video of the destruction after the jump. Here's a little background on the project:
From the creators of SmashMyiPod.com, we bring you, SmashMyPs3.com! We will be one of the first people to get our hands on a PlayStation 3. After we do, we will destroy it in front of all the PS3 fanboys moments after we buy it. This is only a social experiment, for the entertainment of the donors, and visitors of this site

Honor to the brute!!! Smash that PS3!! Have the guys in line totally forgotten about the outside world why they are standding in line? Should've been a wake up call. I'll be lookoing for the polilshed cut of this vid. Well Done!!! P.S. 18 hours? We had some guys here camping out in 30-40 degree weather for more than four days!!!!

I wouldn't mind this so much if they said they were smashing up the ps3 to piss off all the people who waited in line for one, but instead they had to label it a "social experiment." Not much of an experiment. The outcome was pretty predictable; something is broken, people who wanted thing are annoyed. I could have told you that without having to smash up a 600 dollar console with a sledgehammer. And without a stupid pimp suit either.

These poor guys standing in line for days only to spend 600 $ on kids toy don't bother me at all. What's really bothers me is someone who is doing act of vandalism in the middle of the street and puts it on tape. What a sick psycho.

haha, I love all the whiny comments from the people who obviously wish they had a PS3. Although I play video games myself, I'm not bothered by this at all. It could've been done funnier, but the concept is still good. As others have said, anyone who waits in line to pay for a $600+ game console needs to spend a bit more time in the real world. Hell, I rather spend 600 dollars on a new computer...

hahahah! oh man, look at all those losers! No way I'd stand in line, I'd just preorder and/or come when there are no lines. Oh, and chuck, I think you should look up the word "vandalism" before you use it. You see, it's not vandalism when it belongs to the person destroying it; he bought it before he destroyed it, so he can do whatever he wants with it. OMG, people, learn to use the dictionary!
