what about people who use bluetooth headsets? then again, i dont think this would be much of a concern unless you happen to be within ~30ft of a bluejacker, how common would that be?

if you search back through the website you'll see that someone managed to make a 'bluetooth cannon' which could reach miles away. Intercepting the connection between the phone and a headset or a bluetooth enabled car kit is also a common hack, known as 'blue whisper' I think. Lots of information here: http://trifinite.org/trifinite_stuff.html also a great video on the whole idea of bluetooth hacking on here somewhere

@zammykoo if you have a laptop and special USB dongle witch you can get on the web by searching you can easily boost the range up to 250Meter. doing hacks in the metro to work is fun specially if some dudes thinks to be smart and put his MP3s on his mobile and play to all people on the metro. What you than do is just delete all his MP3's reboot the mobile and Remove the other MP3's and you have a normal commute t o work or home ;) so it can also be used for good things. ;)
