(Video) World's Most Expensive MP3 Player

At $25,000, the limited edition TrekStor i.Beat organix Gold boasts a OLED display, 2GB of internal memory, built-in FM tuner, SRS WOW sound enhancement, line-in recording, and a 18 carat 750 gold case, adorned with 63 one carat diamonds. More pictures and a video (Spanish) after the jump.
Jewelers Wenthe in Mannheim/Germany put over 100 hours of pains-taking handiwork into the exquisite gadget. Interested consumers will be able to see it live over the coming months at Saturn, Media Markt and others in Germany and Spain and also buy it for 19.999 euro [$25,000]. The i.Beat organix Gold will be exhibited in a specially designed glass display cabinet and protected by professional bodyguards

This is an exquisite beauty - but no matter how you slice it - there is no way you can avoid wearing unglamourous earplugs or headphones with this. And the best ones are hardly what one would call elegant.

in 3 years from now this player will be utter crap once worth 25k$ :) total piece of sh#@ which once was guarded by bodyguards and some Spanish TV made news spot about how ridiculous the whole idea was, haha. now imagine those who bought it...

Unbelievable. Why pay 25,000 dollars for a little mp3 player that doesn't even look as nice as an ipod nano (150-250) and definetly not as thin. Also that mp3 player is already outdated!!!!!!!!!!!
