The “tourist guy” (above) was a popular image that featured a fake photograph of a tourist who appeared in many manipulated pictures after the September 11, 2001 attacks. It was proven to have been taken in 1997. The man would have been standing on the south tower – the building with the observation deck. And yet the North tower was the first tower to be hit.
