Before Palworld, there was this stunning open-world Pokemon game concept for the Nintendo Switch created by artist and gamer George K. back in 2022. The idea came to him after playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus and liking the direction that Nintendo / Game Freak chose for the title.
The idea of adventure and research in the wild area reminded him of why he started liking Pokémon in the first place. More specifically, it took him back to his younger days when everyone gathered to watch Pokémon: Indigo League, thus this open-world concept of his childhood dreams. George tried very hard to follow the original aesthetics and atmosphere of the Pokémon franchise.

I remember how we fantasized as kids about how cool it would be if in the future Pokémon video games let you do everything you see on a Pokémon TV show. It is a game that gives you unlimited possibilities in exploring the world of Pokémon.
