Ever wonder what happens when you use a hot glue gun-based 3D printer to make something? If so, then ‘Proper Printing’ has just the experiment for you.
Put simply, a Dremel hot glue gun is used for the hot end, whose mains heater cartridge boasts a low voltage replacement one with the help of a section of brass tube. A custom extruder for larger diameters is paired with the hot end, while the nozzle is tapped with a thread to fit one from an airbrush for printing. Sure, the process happens at a much lower temperature and on an unheated bed it extrudes, but it still gets the job done…eventually.
