EngineAI PM01 Humanoid Robot Front Flip
EngineAI showcases PM01, the world’s first front-flipping humanoid robot, or so the company claims. It’s called the PM01 and everything is open source, which means the robot will only set you back around $13,700, a bargain compared to Boston Dynamics’ Atlas.



Despite the relatively low price tag, PM01 still boasts 5-DoF (degrees of freedom) in each arm and six per leg for a combined 23-DoF in body movement. The 4.5-foot-tall robot features 221 lb-ft of torque and weighs in at a reasonable 88 pounds. Why is a front flip significant?
