Amazon’s game streaming service, has long aimed to provide high-end gaming to almost any device. However, the original edition was always treated as an afterthought, and while it showed a lot of promise, it still featured a high entry cost and a game library that only made sense if you were really into it. Fast forward to the present, and Luna has had a total redesign; now the concept is that all of this content is simply included with your Amazon Prime membership, with no hidden costs or anything, just a simple smooth experience.
You can launch the Luna app on your Fire TV, phone, or browser, and play over 50 games that load in a couple of seconds from the cloud. Its a total game-changer if you’re a Prime member – you get access to the whole library of games without having to put your hand deeper into your pocket, which is a big difference from the past. Back then, you had to pay $10 per month for Luna+ to get to the good games, and the free tier was basically simply a couple of games to pique your interest – just long enough to get you hooked before they disappeared. These days, however, you can access big hitters like Hogwarts Legacy, a massive sprawling adventure through the wizarding world, and Indiana Jones & the Great Circle, which involves globe-trotting puzzles and whip-cracking action, all without having to do anything other than log in with your Prime membership.

GameNight is the real star here, a special spot in Luna for when the couch fills up with people who don’t own a controller but always have their phone with them. Scanning a QR code on the TV turns up to four phones into gamepads with no lag for taps and swipes. There are over 25 games to choose from, all designed for quick entertainment and collaboration. Like The Jackbox Party Pack 9 where doodling doodles or shouting out trivia turns into a room-wide guessing game; no one sits out. Or Angry Birds Flock Party, a new take on tossing birds at structures that’s multiplayer and chaotic in the best way possible, with flocks splitting off for team-based destruction.

Board game fans will love Ticket to Ride, where you map out train lines on a public map, and Clue, where you solve puzzles using accusations that create long conversations. The original Courtroom Chaos: Starring Snoop Dogg is the real showstopper, an improv courtroom adventure where you build outrageous alibis and testimonies, which are judged by an AI version of the man himself, serving down verdicts in that unmistakable drawl. These games require only a willingness to participate, as opposed to the old Luna which required Bluetooth controllers that would often disconnect or run out of battery mid-match.

Want more? Luna Premium is $9.99 a month and includes the old Luna+ collection with no restrictions for existing users. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now playable, with lightsaber duels and planet-hopping objectives streaming directly to your screen. EA Sports FC 25 has lifelike rosters for soccer matches, while Batman: Arkham Knight lets you glide through Gotham’s shadows, grappling hook in hand.
