No, the BlackBerry outage yesterday (December 22) wasn’t caused by the iPhone in UFC’s famed octagon, but rather a messenger update that reportedly went out. Fortunately, this time it appears only email is not accessible — both RIM phone and data services can still be used.
The latest reports show that the Blackberry has about 20% of the U.S. Smartphone Marketshare to that of the Apple iPhone, which is growing at approximately 11% and rising.
