Abandoned Manor Unreal Engine 5.4 Tech Demo
This Abandoned Manor Unreal Engine 5.4 tech demo, a nice followup to the industrial factory demo, gives off Haunted Mansion vibes, or so we’d like to think. It’s running at 4K resolution with Nanite, Lumen and Epic settings on an Intel i7 10700F processor with an NVIDIA RTX 4080 graphics card.

Nanite is basically UE5’s virtualized micropolygon geometry system, and it continues to receive enhancements in this latest version. First off, it boasts an Experimental new Tessellation feature that enables fine details such as cracks and bumps to be added at render time, without altering the original mesh. UE 5.4 also boosts rendering performance, as it refactors the systems to enable a greater degree of parallelization, as well as adding GPU instance culling to hardware ray tracing.
