Resident Evil Code Veronica Unreal Engine 5 Fan Remake
A new video has just been released showcasing what it looks like when a gamer decides to rebuild pieces of Resident Evil Code Veronica, a 2000 Dreamcast classic, in Unreal Engine 5 from scratch. On April 11th, the creator, Yuri from Luli Studio, posted the brief concept demo. In it, Claire Redfield walks through a rain-soaked graveyard that feels real before entering the terrifying Ashford Mansion, where every element refers back to the original story.

Diablo 2 First Person Mod Unreal Engine
Mark of I Make Games, chose to rebuild Diablo 2 from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, but with one major difference: the entire game is played in first person. A clean heads-up display lies at the bottom of the screen, displaying your current location, an experience bar that ticks upward as you fight monsters, skill slots, glowing potion icons, and a stamina meter that drains anytime you push yourself too far.

The Sims 5 Unreal Engine Remake
When EA confirmed there were no plans for a Sims 5, most fans were disappointed and moved on. Tytar decided to do something about it instead. With no background in game development whatsoever, he opened up Unreal Engine 5, gave himself a brutally tight 14 day deadline, and got to work building a playable version from scratch. Remarkably, he pulled it off. The result is a familiar top down experience where you guide your Sims through their daily lives, complete with a few pointed jabs at EA for leaving fans out in the cold in the first place.

Skyrim Forgotten Vale Remake Unreal Engine 5
Leo Torres has done an incredible job with his new Skyrim project. He takes the Forgotten Vale from the Dawnguard expansion and essentially reimagines it from scratch in Unreal Engine 5.7.2. Anyone who has delved into this place will know it as a vast, glacial valley dotted with ancient elven ruins, those rather disturbing falmer enemies, and an atmosphere of endless isolation. He increases its scale to give it a more realistic and lore-accurate feel, completely free of the constraints of Skyrim’s original graphics engine. The resulting result runs smoothly on an RTX 3090 and has sixteen times the level of detail you would have seen in 2012.

Unreal Tournament Remake Demo Unreal Engine 5.7
YouTuber Smart Poly has released a free playable demo that integrates Unreal Tournament 4 elements into Unreal Engine 5.7. When you fire it up, you’re immediately thrust into the center of arena combat, the type of fast-paced action that Unreal Tournament fans have been clamoring for. Try it out right now, and you’ll find yourself in a very stripped-down build that’s all about exploring a single level called Outpost, with some basic shooting but no multiplayer or bots.

Pokemon HD-2D Unreal Engine 5 Black and White Remake
Pokémon has always been about using your imagination rather than becoming entirely immersed. Those old-school Game Boy sprites, with their blocky graphics, didn’t require fancy ray-traced reflections to make you feel like the 10 year old ruler of the Pokémon universe, catching them all. Then there’s NIONX, a French YouTuber who has no prior expertise with 3D modeling or Unreal Engine 5, but has now released an amazing HD-2D reconstruction of the Kanto area that looks exactly like the remake we’ve all been waiting for.

RwanLink Unreal Engine 5 Zelda Ocarina of Time Gerudo Fortress
RwanLink’s latest labor of love is a real treat for fans of some of gaming’s most iconic hideouts. The Gerudo Fortress from Ocarina of Time gets a fresh reboot, built from scratch in Unreal Engine 5. Over the course of three months this lone creator poured their heart and soul into bringing it to life, paying homage to the original while slapping on a shiny new coat of visual polish.

Chrono Trigger Remake Unreal Engine 5
Chrono Trigger – a classic 1995 Super Nintendo game that’s still a beloved staple in the world of role-playing games. People still talk about its mind-blowing time-traveling story and it’s simply amazing pixel art.
