Amazon Prime Air drone delivery service has begun making same-day deliveries in Tolleson, Arizona. That’s right, all customers in the serviced area can purchase an eligible item weighing 5 pounds or less and have it delivered by drone in under an hour.
The new MK30 drones will be deployed from facilities next to Amazon’s Same-Day Delivery site in Tolleson, which is just one of many smaller sites that are hybrid—part fulfillment center, part delivery station. They enable employees to fulfill, sort, and deliver products all from one site so they can get packages out to our customers even quicker.
