Apple officially released iOS 17 today and it not only includes StandBy, a new full-screen experience, but also Personalized Contact Posters. The latter offers users a new way to express themselves by customizing how they appear to known contacts, including third-party calling apps.
Personalized Contact Posters can be customized with photos, Memoji, typography and font colors, while Live Voicemail offers a real-time transcription as someone leaves a message. iOS 17 user can now leave a video or audio message on FaceTime, along with third-party video conferencing apps like Zoom. Messages also gets new features such as search, all-new sticker experiences, and Check IN, which lets users notify a family member or friend when they have made it to a destination. StandBy is a new full-screen experience that turns your iPhone into a smart display and when using a MagSafe charger, it remembers a user’s preferred view for that MagSafe charging dock.
