Greg Klassen, a trained furniture maker and artist in the Pacific Northwest, creates tables for his “River Collection” like you’ve never seen before. Simply put, the reclaimed wood tables sport embedded glass for a flowing rivers effect. The rough uneven edges were kept to mimic the water shores found in nature. None of the details in the wood were smoothed over or removed, such as knots, swirling grains, and other imperfections to ensure that every piece is unique. The river glass has all been custom cut to connect two otherwise separate pieces of wood or fills in its natural holes. The trees were harvested from the banks of the Noonsack river.
