Sleek yet rugged, the BMW CE 02 electric bike is designed for the city and other urban environments. Its minimalist design includes large wheels that can traverse many terrains, a stealthy black frame, wheels, front fender and triple clamp fairing at the top, along with a granite grey metallic matte engine cover.
Gold anodized telescoping forks and a tape design provide the perfect contrast to make the CE 02 look more dynamic even when not moving. Power comes from an electric motor that makes 15 hp and 41 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-30 mph in 3 seconds, while topping out at 59 mph. There are two riding modes: “Flow” for cruising along in urban traffic and “Surf” when you want a more dynamic riding experience beyond city traffic. On a full charge, its two removable 1.96 kWh lithium-ion battery packs are good for more than 56-miles of riding. Other features include a 3.5-inch micro TFT screen, a USB-C socket, and support for BMW Motorrad Connected Services. Pricing starts at $7,599 USD, with availability yet to be announced.
