BMW x TYDE’s The Icon does not double as a submersible like the U-Boat Worx Nautilus, but it is the first battery-powered electric watercraft of its kind. Featuring two 100 kW electric motors that convert 240 kWh of energy supplied by six batteries from BMW i into a range of more than 50 nautical miles, delivering an operating speed of 24 knots, while boasting a maximum speed of 30 knots.
The battery-electric propulsion system means that The Icon is near silent, without vibrations or shocks, and the on-board, Hans Zimmer-tuned Dolby Atmos system. Its hull is made from sections of metal that reflect sunlight onto the floor like waves on the sea, while 360° rotating seats are perfect for accessing the tablet-based infotainment system. It does not have traditional nautical instruments, but instead a digital control unit consisting of a 32-inch touchscreen display with 6K resolution.
- Speed & Range: The Gokart PRO reaches 23 mph and has a 15.5-mile range on one charge.
- Powerful Performance: Features a rear-wheel drive with 4,800W power and 96N torque for quick acceleration.
- Safety First: Built with a high-strength steel frame, supports up to 220 lbs, and includes triple anti-collision protection.

THE ICON is underpinned by a platform concept offering comprehensive adaptability to individual wishes and needs in terms of both the emotional experience and interior design. THE ICON impresses with a powerful drive system that creates neither noise nor emissions,” said BMW.
