Lionsgate has just released the official Borderlands movie trailer, and one thing is for sure, it most certainly brings the video game franchise to life. Directed by Eli Roth, we see Cate Blanchett as Lilith, an outlaw who returns to Pandora after being contracted by weapons manufacturer Atlas (Édgar Ramírez) to find his missing daughter.
Lilith assembles a crew with five other outcasts to help on her mission and explore the dangerous planet. Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Greenblatt and Florian Munteanu play the other crew members, while Jack Black voices the robot Claptrap. Let’s just say that this summer will be filled with comic book / video game films, with Deadpool & Wolverine coming out on July 26 and then Borderlands two weeks later.
