NotebookReview got their hands on the 4.8-pound Compaq Presario B2800, currently available in Asia and Australia only. It features a 14-inch display with Brightview technology, an Intel Pentium M 740 (1.73 GHz) processor, 512MB of DDR2 memory, ATI X600 SE 256MB graphics module, and a Super-Multi Dual Layer DVD RW/ R drive. A few caveats: no widescreen display and only one available memory slot for expansion. It lists for around $1600 USD, but you might be able to pick up a few discounts from select retailers.

From the article: “This is not a notebook for everybody, this may sound obvious but this is a notebook for those that are searching for a 14″ stylish notebook that has a dedicated graphics card. If you’re looking for a very good deal, for excellent performance or the lightest notebook this isn’t for you.”
