Shipping container homes are nothing new, but very few have made it past the concept stage, that is, until now. In addition to being eco-friendly, these homes can easily be transported — at least the single-level designs — just about anywhere. One caveat: “steel conducts heat very well; containers used for human occupancy in an environment with extreme temperature variations will normally have to be better insulated than most brick, block or wood structures.” Click here to see some cool examples.
