Dell has just announced the availability of their “Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard”, which is available now to Verizon Wireless customers for $179. With the Unlimited BroadbandAccess plan, you’ll get “average speeds of 400 to 700 kbps, capable of reaching speeds of up to 2 Mbps”. More information here.

This new Dell 5700 EVDO card is welcome news to those that have been waiting for more ExpressCard options to come about. Even better is that this card is ExpressCard/34 so that it will work in the smaller slots that ultraportables generally have
