Disney announced a new $1.5-billion investment in Epic Games during their earnings call earlier this week. This will bring more iconic characters from the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar universes into Fortnite as well as other titles like Rocket League.
Unreal Engine will be used to generate assets and content across the Disney portfolio including in the development of video games like Kingdom Hearts 3 as well as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Players, gamers and fans are going to be able to create their own stories / experiences and share content with each other, all powered by Unreal Engine.
