We have seen the future of display technology, and it’s laser. Slated for commercial release next year are TV sets powered by Coherent Inc.’s laser optoelectronics. They will reportedly deliver more accurate colors, weigh 50% less than plasma/LCD screens, have a 50,000 hour life, and sport an ultraslim form factor. Video after the break.
