When it comes to power and affordability, the Freescale Smartbook will be hard to beat. At 0.8-pounds, it packs a 1.0-GHz i.MX515 CPU, 512MB of DDR2 memory, 4GB-64GB SSD, microSD expansion, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, 3G WWAN connectivity, Bluetooth, and a 3.0-megapixel camera. Look for the official unveiling later this week at CES 2010. Click here for first picture in gallery.

We aren’t quite sure what kind of bulk discounts Freescale is counting on, but it’s hoping that this design will “enable a second generation of smartbook products with prices less than $200.”
